Melody grew up attending Southern Baptist churches in Texas, where she experienced both deep closeness with God and seasons of wrestling with faith. From a young age, she developed a profound love for the Lord and found joy in singing to Jesus. Her childhood diaries became prayers — an ongoing conversation with God.
As life unfolded, Melody moved to California and spent many years searching for meaning, healing, and belonging through different paths and spiritual communities. With studies in psychology, yoga, and meditation, along with years of serving others as a caregiver, spiritual mentor, and singing in a gospel choir, she explored many perspectives while continuing to feel a longing that only God could truly fill.
Over time, her journey brought her full circle — back to the understanding that God’s presence is always available and that each moment offers an opportunity to listen, surrender, and choose His will above all else.
Through every season of life, worship music and prayerful writing have remained sacred anchors, continually drawing her back into the presence of God again and again. Melody is grateful to be part of a church community centered on love, authenticity, service, and wholehearted worship.
